Fulvio Taquechel, head of the Territorial Division of Radio Cuba, reports that the problems in radio and television transmission are due to damage to the electrical circuit in the Sierra Caballos area, where the tower is located.
The manager explained that for that reason they worked more than 14 hours with an emergency generator, in order not to affect the coverage due to the impact of Laura in the early morning.
For this reason, prior authorization by the Municipal Defense Council, they worked on the maintenance of the system to restart the transmissions. Radio Cuba regrets the inconvenience caused by the interruptions in service.
