On the Isle of Youth, the poultry farmers of the Andrés Cuevas Heredia laying farm, at the end of July, secured eleven million 477 100 eggs for the standardized basic basket and other social destinations.
The result is laudable, since the group faced difficulties at the beginning of the year due to lack of feed and worked in the midst of the pandemic that affects the country.
The main poultry farm of the Special Municipality has a mass of more than 74,000 birds and in April it added another batch, while this month the incorporation of more animals is planned with the purpose of increasing the production of eggs in such a way as to comply with the commitments planned for this year.
Executives of the branch said that at the end of July a growth in the total production of eggs in the territory is reported, which also includes quail, rustic birds and the contribution of the peasant cooperative sector.
